The other half

Half a glass left resting on the table for two, Half a conversation yet to come from you. Half the time spent in waiting, Half the dreams spent in anticipating. When the time arrived, only a half of it did. A chair left alone in the corner, Flipping through half a book, Drinking half aContinue reading “The other half”

#8 – About last night

And then to see the ceiling a bit too high, To feel the floor sinking deeper, And to be unaware of directions. Insanely aware of  memories, And unaware of their narration. Waking up, adding two and two together, Feeling the symmetry, and my head again. I buried those memories, And buried their narration.

Poem #7 : A new city

City lights are too bright, The clock is too fast, Too much love to show, Too less love to feel. Not indifference, but differences. I am confined to a corner, Moving at my own pace, Not intimidated, but indifferent. The hills that I passed through, Trees that stood tall and went taller, Music that struckContinue reading “Poem #7 : A new city”

Poem #4 – Innocent Rambling

If I were a painter I’d have turned a blank canvas into multitude of colors, Mingled perfectly in the shape of your smile and the dimple on your cheek. I’d have drawn the moon that rises from the clouds below and hides itself into the clouds above, with that I’d have drawn my overwhelming heartContinue reading “Poem #4 – Innocent Rambling”

Who are we?

The fight doesn’t stop, The fright doesn’t go away, Who are we? Soldiers or Tyrants? We are being dictated names, Printed on our badges. Is that our new identity? Chains

You don’t need the eyes to see them, No. They are invisible. You don’t need the ears to hear them dragged along, No. They are silent. You try to feel it and you’ll feel it, Hidden behind the pretentious care, Like a subtle frown behind a smile. It’s there, it’s right there. Reasons fail. They’d sayContinue reading “Chains”

Miles Apart

Her radiance didn’t fade away, He was still chivalrous and charming, But now she laughed less on his jokes, And he took little notice of her mien. The hands that went along everywhere, Now estranged and seldom touched, Seldom he complimented her, And seldom she blushed. They still shared the same roof, And sat togetherContinue reading “Miles Apart”

Away

Let’s run away, before everything burns down to ashes, Let’s never look back lest you change your mind. Let’s tear down the walls, let’s break down this ice, My mind’s conflicted, my heart’s bruised, I can’t imagine you gone out of my sight. My love is selfish, possessive and insecure, Let’s run away, before theyContinue reading “Away”
